George Stanciu
Principal dancer
George Stanciu was born on November 9, 1982 in Iasi, Romania. He graduated from the Ballet University in Kyiv in 1999. In the same year, he was engaged in the HNK Ballet in Zagreb. He became Principal dancer 2008. In 2013, at the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, as part of Koreolabos, a choreographic workshop of members of the HNK Ballet, Geroge Stanciu's choreography entitled Carmen was performed to the music of Georges Bizet and Rodion Ščedrin.
Oskar Harmoš Award for the roles of the Golden Idol in the ballet Bayadera, the role of Espada in the ballet Don Quixote and the performance in the play The Gods Are Angry, 2002.
Second place at the 3rd international competition of ballet dancers in Vienna, 2004. Gold at the international competition of dancers in Zagreb, 2008
Oskar Harmoš Award for the role of Fobo in the ballet Maestro, 2006.
